Just a few
details about the band members.
 |
Ian
Hooley - Vocals / Guitar
Lead Vocals and Guitarist, Ian Hooley has been plying
his musical trade in the midlands for over fifteen years.
"I moved to Telford around 1992-93, and got started
making contacts on the local music scene straight away. The first
gigging band I had in Telford was called the BISHOP BASHERS and
eventually became HELTER SKELTER. Next up was SCREEMER which did
hundreds of gigs in it's four year life. Band wise T.N.T came next and
was run alongside my IAN HOOLEY solo act. There have been other bands
also such as HARERAZOR and UNIT-37, but T.N.T is the band I always knew
I'd come back to because of the Atmosphere when we play together. When
that's right you just can't beat it. I want to take the audience to a
great party, but they have to navigate part of the way - we have to do
it together".
Outside T.N.T I spend a lot of time working in the
recording studio I own and run, "hartstudio". My short biography wouldn't be complete
without mention of Kathie Devlyn (my long suffering wife
- see below), who is, as
always, a big part of the band.
(you
can see him here trying to look like he's NOT reading the words!)
Hope we can all have a great
party together!

Stan
Meiklem - Bass / Vocals
Being born on the same day that Adolf Hitler invaded
Poland was probably a bad omen and from there things have steadily got
worse. Catching the Bubonic Plague when I only 12 years old left me with
only one working head which was a real climb-down and depressed me for
decades. Then a shining light came into my life and just when a smile
threatened to explode across my face some 'git' stole the torch
batteries. It was left to music to give life some semblance of meaning
and provide a tenuous link to reality. I meandered through Country
music, strict tempo dance music (like Strictly Come Dancing but without
Tess Daly), blues and onto Rock (don't do 'n' Roll).
Working in TNT is just
great fun really: Ian is
a Grade One Poser who just happens to be able to sing and play guitar a
bit!!! (He He He) and Garf is Garf (anyone who
knows him, knows what I mean). Matt has been a nice
addition to the mix and me, I just try to make enough noise to
drown these three out. Come down and see us and tell us
what you think, as long as you don't expect us to
change.
(you can
see him here in his natural surroundings - BLACK AND WHITE!)
Hope to see you soon. !

Garf -
Drums
Garf started playing drums at the age of 10, being
first taught by internationally famous death metal drummer Carl Stokes,
who at the time played for Cancer. By the age of 12 Garf had started
playing in local bands playing anything from rock to punk to metal. This
lasted for a few years until one day went to see local rock band
Screemer and met Ian Hooley. A few more years pass and Screemer disband.
Garf was approached by Ian to play drums for his new rock band ( T.N.T)
. T.N.T lasted about 3 years and then disbanded and went off to pursue
other musical careers. During the 4 years apart Garf formed a heavy
metal band called Werm, went on tour as Dj for Daddy Long Legs (ex
Bloodhound Gang) new band Wolfpac, supporting the Insane Clown Posse. A
year later, T.N.T are back together to rock the night away.
Garf says "I think the break has done us (T.N.T) good,
we have all been away, learnt new things and had more experience. We're
all really excited about getting the band back together" .
(you can
see him here hitting something - AS USUAL!)
Whatever - See you there!

Matt Pritchard -
Guitar
I started to play guitar at college because
everyone else did. Since learning Summer of '69 on my mom's old
Spanish guitar I've loved playing. The very next pay day I bought my
first electric guitar and the neighbors have hated me ever since. Me
and the guys from school formed The Crabs, a very loud, wild punk
band. Although we only managed one gig we had a great time. A few
more bands have come and gone over the years and I'm currently lead
guitarist with apt, a Telford based originals band.
I have a very random music
taste, ranging from Andrew Lloyd Webber to Stevie Ray Vaughan,
Alphabeat, Led Zeppelin and Thin Lizzy. This is why playing for TNT
really appealed to me. This is such a great set with songs I've
known and loved for most of my life. But it's not all about the
music, TNT put on a great live show and I can bring my own smiley
little face to that too!
(you can see him here
thinking "guitar hero is easier"!)

Kathie Devlyn - Sound /
Lighting
Kathie first got started when she
became the lighting tech. for Screemer back in the nineties. After
Screemer came to an end, she took over the sound and lighting tech.
duties for the newly formed T.N.T. Travelling all across the country
with the band in their first stint, she's seen and heard it all. Kathie
tends to be the sane head when the band start to get a little too "rock
'n' roll", and really knows her stuff at the lighting desk.
Kathie as a rule only attends the
bigger gigs and the rallies these days, as work and family commitments dictate, but will
occasionally come to the smaller venues as well.
(you can
see her here trying to give us the "yes, you're great" (NOT)
look!)
You want it louder - Okay....!
